Four arrested in terror probe after arriving in United Kingdom from Sri Lanka

All four are Sri Lankan nationals and were detained under the terrorism act.

At least four "Sri Lankan nationals" have been arrested at Luton airport this week on suspicion of membership of a proscribed terrorist organisation announced Britain's counter-terror police on Friday.

Four men have been arrested moments after they arrived in Luton Airport on board an global flight.

The men remain in custody at a police station in Bedfordshire while police investigate.

They touched down at Luton Airport on Wednesday night and were later taken into custody, with detectives continuing to question them at a police station in Bedfordshire.

British counter-terror police have arrested four men on suspicion of being members of a banned organization hours after they flew into United Kingdom.

"The men were then each arrested under the Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984, between approximately 21.30hrs and 23:40hrs".
