Lori Loughlin reportedly struggling to accept charges in college admissions scandal

Hallmark Channel has renewed Lori Loughlin's former show "When Calls the Heart" for its seventh season, her co-star Erin Krakow announced on Instagram Saturday. In the meantime, a source tells HollywoodLife that the actress and her life partner try their best to keep to themselves. The actress and her designer husband, Mossimo Giannulli, stand accused of making a $500,000 payment to aid in the admissions process to the University of Southern California by pretending that their daughters, Olivia Jade, 19, and Isabella Rose, 20, rowed crew, so they would be classified as athletic recruits.

"It's just taking some time for it to sink in that what she was allegedly doing could be considered illegal".

After Lori Loughlin, 54, was hit with new conspiracy to commit money laundering and wire fraud charges in the college admissions scandal case on April. 9, the Fuller House star, who was already charged with conspiracy to commit mail fraud, and her husband Mossimo Giannulli are prepared to "fight this as hard as possible". 'To her, it wasn't egregious behavior. "Perhaps. But she didn't see it as being a legal violation".

According to the insider, Loughlin, believes that she didn't do anything that another mother in her position wouldn't have done.

"From the beginning, she didn't want to take a deal, because she felt that she hadn't done anything that any mom wouldn't have done, if they had the means to do so". She refused to accept any jail time and thought the DA was bluffing. Lori and Massimo have been planning on stopping at nothing and they will fight all and any charges that are thrown at them, no matter what, which is why they have not followed in Felicity Huffman's footsteps to enter a plea deal.

The actress' recent plea deal refusal could set them back big time. But she is amenable to discussing how to put this behind everyone now.

Good news, Hearties: Hallmark Channel has renewed When Calls the Heart for Season 7, weeks ahead of Season 6's return. Hallmark and the producers have not commented on the fate of the character or how it might be handled on the series.

The younger of the two daughters and YouTube star Olivia is said to be "barely speaking" to either of her parents in the scandal's wake, previous reports have suggested.

Three episodes of the show aired before the scandal broke, causing the show to go on a brief hiatus.
