Bears To Sign Ha Ha Clinton-Dix To 1-Year Deal

His addition comes after the Bears let safety Adrian Amos walk to the Packers on a four-year deal worth up to $37 million. Clinton-Dix and Jackson will be teammates again in Chicago, where Jackson earned first-team All-Pro recognition at safety during the 2018 season.

When the Bears lost two four-year starters in their secondary and replaced them with veteran free agents in Ha Ha Clinton-Dix and Buster Skrine this week, there remained one big unknown: What does Chuck Pagano think?

Chicago has signed Ha Ha Clinton-Dix to a one-year deal, the team announced Thursday afternoon.

Clinton-Dix is a five-year National Football League veteran who spent the majority of his career in Green Bay before being traded in the middle of last season to the Redskins.

On Oct. 30, Green Bay sent Clinton-Dix to the Washington Redskins seven games into the 2018 season for a fourth-round draft choice. In nine games with the Redskins, he had 65 tackles with three pass deflections.

In 84 career games, Clinton-Dix has recorded 456 tackles, 5.5 sacks and 14 interceptions.

The Redskins added Alabama's Landon Collins in free agency and might have wanted to keep Clinton-Dix too after trading for him in the middle of last season.
