New Aladdin trailer released Disney

Director Guy Ritchie has tried to create Agrabah in the real world for this live-action experience but it is yet to be seen if the audience is in agreement with his casting choices.

About a month ago, Disney released a trailer for its upcoming live-acton Aladdin remake, the latest part in its 100-part plan to weaponize your nostalgia and make several trillion dollars.

Introduced by Will Smith in full genie getup, the trailer starts off with Aladdin being pursued by the police in the marketplace.

Well, Disney released a new trailer today, so the conversation can turn to the fact that Smith won't be blue all the time, which is for the best.

Then, Mena Massoud leans down towards Naomi Scott, and Aladdin says, "Do you trust me?" and Jasmine takes his hand.

But Aladdin is the film that's meant to take us all down memory lane... and it looks like it'll do just that.

We'll find out when Aladdin hits cinemas on Thursday May 23.

However, the new footage revealed that there is more to Smith's Genie than just his color.

Colour us confused here Walt, because in the first trailer we got a blue Genie, and in this one we have shots of both a cobalt Will Smith, and one of him sporting his normal pallor.

It wasn't all negativity, though, with some fans taking to Twitter in order to suggest they have been won over by the new trailer.

The action-packed clip features everything, from Aladdin and Princess Jasmine's magic carpet ride to a sneak peek of the evil villain Jafar. Alan Menken provides the score, which includes new recordings of the original songs written by Menken and lyricists Howard Ashman and Tim Rice and two new songs written by Menken and songwriters Benj Pasek and Justin Paul.

What are your biggest observations from the trailer for Aladdin? .

The film will open in theaters this May 24.
