Apple expected to announce new streaming TV service at March 25 event

The report also claims that Apple will also show off its new credit card service on-stage with finance industry journalists having been invited to attend the event. The gameplan is to ensure that people using Apple hardware will keep themselves interested with the company's own apps and media, instead of hopping to 3rd party apps and services, like users do with Netflix and standalone apps from HBO and the rest. Digitimes's sources said that Apple would introduce the devices on March 25th. The event will start at 10:00 a.m.

While Apple is keeping the information about what it plans to unveil as secret as possible, this year we believe that the Cupertino, California-based company plans to expand its Apple News service with magazines and other publications, and announce a brand-new video streaming service to rival Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime.

Apple will also reportedly launch a new 9.7-inch iPad that will keep a similarly low price as the current 9.7-inch model, as well an updated version of its AirPods headphones, which are overdue for an update that includes better sound, wireless charging and some additional health tracking features.

To add fuel to this rumour the invite, sent out by Apple, shows an image of an old-fashioned cinema screen with a countdown clock.

As of now, it is still unclear which publishers are onboard Apple's premium News service offering as its 50 percent revenue split demand has left.
