$448 million jackpot up for grabs in Wednesday's Powerball drawing

The jackpot has been climbing since December 26 when a NY man won the $298.3 million grand prize.

The lottery is still looking for its first jackpot victor of 2019 to take home a grand prize of $495 million after no one matched all six numbers Wednesday night.

There were no jackpot winners in Wednesday night's PowerBall drawing, pushing the projected jackpot up to $495 million for Saturday night's drawing. The cash option would be $271.7 million, according to the Powerball website. Two of those tickets were sold in NY and are worth $1 million each. The third ticket, sold in Florida, is worth $2 million because the purchaser paid extra for the Power Play.

Players must select 5 numbers from 1-69 and one Powerball number between 1-26 to play.

One third-prize ticket worth $50,000 was sold in New Jersey at the 7-Eleven store on Huyler Street in South Hackensack.

The odds of hitting the Powerball jackpot are 292,201,388 to 1.

There were no jackpot winners in Saturday's lottery, but more than 36,000 people won prizes in IL after the drawing.

When a jackpot victor is determined, the prize will reset at $40 million.

The drawings are held at 10:59 p.m.
