Virginia woman wins the lottery 30 times in one day

Deborah Brown bought 20 Pick 4 tickets from the Virginia Lottery, and all of them had the same four digits for the same drawing on February 11.

Brown originally bought 20 tickets for $1 each with her winning number combination but she had a hunch and later bought an additional 10 tickets.

'A couple of times during the day, I saw those numbers, ' she said.

Brown spent $30 in total for the tickets but won $5,000 for each, the highest available prize for a $1 ticket.

"She's considering some home renovation", the Virginia Lottery said in a statement. She recently went to pick up her $150,000, WTKR reported. That night, the winning numbers were 1-0-3-1.

The state lottery said players have a one in 10,000 chance of matching all four numbers in the order they were drawn.

In a statement, the South Carolina Education Lottery Commission revealed the piece of good fortune which helped land the anonymous victor the mind-boggling top prize.

"I was taking care of a friend", he told reporters at Resorts World Casino in Jamaica, Queens, Wednesday. After taxes Bailey walked away with $125.3 million - the fourth-largest payoff in USA history and the top win ever in New York State.

It's also not the first time the method worked for him. Once before he scored $30,000 playing the same lucky numbers on a Take 5 ticket.
