Grammys 2019: Cardi B Performs At The 2019 Grammys

Cardi B has made history as the first woman to win the Grammy Award for best rap album. Following an opening from a pianist, Cardi emerged in a sparkly black jumpsuit while strutting her stuff like a showgirl.

Watch her speech below!

"The nerves are so bad".

Cardi was escorted on stage by her husband Offset and it took her a couple moments to catch her breath and realize that she just won.

Wearing a sheer leopard print catsuit complete with a luxurious purple cape, the rapper brought Grammy attendees to their feet with a live rendition of "Money".

In her acceptance speech, Cardi B thanked her collaborators and gave a special shoutout to her daughter, Kulture, who was born last July. "Thank you @iamcardib for having me on stage with you at the Grammys and for graciously allowing me to add my style of music to yours!" And then you know, you know how it was, we was like, we have to get this album done so I could still do videos while I'm still not showing.

Heading into the evening, Cardi B was nominated for seven awards across major categories, including Album of The Year and Record of the Year for her chart-topping single, "I Like It".
