The Monster Hunter Movie Hits Theaters Next Year

Capcom has announced that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt's Geralt of Rivia has now arrived in Monster Hunter: World as part of a special crossover collaboration.

The rewards for completing both contracts are pretty nifty too: "Contract: Trouble in the Ancient Forest" will grant you resources for crafting Geralt's armour and weapon set, a new skin and weapon for your Palico companion, and new gestures, titles, and poses. This mission culminates in a battle against the fearsome Leshen; if you manage to defeat it, you'll be able to craft the Ciri α armor set and matching weapons.

Doug Cockle will return to voice Geralt in the collaboration.

Capcom announced the Monster Hunter World/The Witcher crossover event back in December of previous year and brings new RPG elements to Monster Hunter World.

Production for Milla Jovovich's Monster Hunter movie is well underway with Paul W.S. Anderson, and while we've had some sneak peeks in the past for characters and what the setting will look like, we didn't have a date for when the latest adaptation would hit theaters.

Those who complete the first assignment can then take on the second one, a limited time event that will occur from February 15 to March 1, 2019: Contract: Woodland Spirit.

Contract: Woodland Spirit will earn the Ciri full armor set.

Monster Hunter: World is available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

We're right on the cusp of the next wave of video game movie adaptations, with some inspiring hope more than others. These links leave Siliconera.
