Russell Wilson will attend spring training with the Yankees

Despite having lost seven Pro Bowlers last offseason, coach Carroll marked a successful 2018 season with 10 wins and a playoff berth. If you remember, past year Wilson attended spring training with the New York Yankees and even got to play in a game.

"Some people get confused [and think], 'Is this just a stunt or whatever?' They don't know me", Wilson - who idolized Derek Jeter growing up - said previous year.

Seahawks QB Russell Wilson threw for a career-high 35 touchdowns this year.

It is the sixth time Wilson has been named to the Pro Bowl either in the initial selections or as an alternate.

The 30-year-old Wilson played second base at NC State and then played two years of professional baseball in the Rockies organization.

In 2013, the Texas Rangers acquired Wilson's rights from the Rockies via the Rule 5 Draft. He attended spring training with the Rangers in 2014 and 2015, despite his status as an National Football League star.

Wilson's return to Yankees spring training doesn't mean he'll pursue a baseball career. Position players report February 18. Instead, he'll be expected to turn up in Tampa, Fla., a few weeks later when he'll treat fans to highlights like these.
