Fox Affiliate Staffer Fired After Doctoring Trump Video

A staffer with Washington State Fox affiliate Q13 was sacked this week after the station aired what appears to be a doctored video of US President Donald Trump's Tuesday night address from the Oval Office.

The video aired by Fox affiliate KCPQ seemed to make the president look even more orange than usual and looped a portion in which he can be seen sticking out his tongue between sentences, according to The Seattle Times.

MyNorthwest.com showed the doctored video side-by-side with CNN's live broadcast of Trump's address.

Q13 news director Erica Hill said the incident does not meet their editorial standards and confirmed Thursday the editor was sacked after an investigation. "We've completed our investigation into this incident and determined that the actions were the result of an individual editor whose employment has been terminated".

Trump is considering declaring a national emergency over the wall, and the White House apparently asked the Army Corps of Engineers about diverting disaster funds to pay for the wall.

Trump in his televised address had urged for border wall funding amid the federal government shutdown that's lasted almost three weeks.

Erica Hill, Q13 news director, issued a statement to the Seattle Times addressing the issue.
