Samsung unveils 'The Wall,' a massive 219-inch, or 18-foot, TV

Samsung is showing a massive 219 inch television at the CES technology show in Las Vegas.

Using new technology that uses less energy that televisions that are now in use, "The Wall" is actually made up of modules that allows owners to configure the set however they choose. Millions of inorganic red, green and blue microscopic LEDs are needed to make one image.

At CES 2019, Samsung revealed a new TV that is irresponsibly large. Samsung says sales of TVs with screens above 75 inches have more than doubled in the United States over the past year.

Last year Samsung released the first 85-inch 8K QLED TV, which goes for a cool $15,000.

Separately, Samsung introduced its 75-inch Micro LED Ultra-HD TV aimed at general consumers. The other notable TV manufacturers also had their 8K TVs on display. Just like the Q900, "The Wall" can blend with surroundings to match style of the interior, a feature that Samsung is especially proud of.
