Guillem Balague delivers update on Alvaro Morata’s Chelsea FC future

AC Milan striker Andre Silva, who is now on loan with Sevilla, is reportedly wanted by Chelsea to replace Alvaro Morata.

The want-away Chelsea striker has been earmarked as a potential replacement for Diego Costa, who is recovering from an operation on his left foot that took place at the start of December.

The Portugal worldwide scored just two Serie A goals for Milan last season before being shipped out on loan to Sevilla in the summer.

'Some players want more minutes, some could be sold by the club, some could arrive. "We need to wait until January 31", he is quoted as saying by the Daily Mail.

Morata has endured a hard spell in England since leaving Real Madrid 18 months ago, with his two goals against Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup his first goals since a brace against Crystal Palace at the start of November.

And according to Spanish radio station Cope, his agent has met Chelsea and has placed four offers for Morata from some of the biggest clubs in Europe.

The Spaniard has been linked with AC Milan and Sevilla, but now Atletico Madrid have joined the race to sign the 26-year-old.

Chelsea players are convinced Morata is desperate to cut short his unhappy spell in England and the club are prepared to let him go, either on loan or permanently, if they can land one of their forward targets.
