So many people get hurt in the bloody 'Punisher' Season 2 trailer

Marvel's bloodiest and most brutal character The Punisher returns to Netflix for a second season of mayhem and violent retribution on January 18th, and now fans can view the official trailer featuring all the beatdowns, manhunts and betrayal they've awaited.

News has been coming out over the last week about the second season of the Netflix series with a release date and a few short clips being shared online. Netflix is now in the midst of cancelling many of their Marvel programs, leaving the fate of The Punisher in muddy water.

That seems to be the general idea going into the new season of THE PUNISHER, wherein Frank Castle (Jon Bernthal) is trying to escape the horrors of the last season, only to be brought back into the punishing game to help a young woman (Giorgia Whigham).

Frank Castle is back for Season 2 of The Punisher, except he must battle a familiar face again: Billy Russo, also known as "Jigsaw". Amber Rose Revah's Dinah Madani and Jason R. Moore's Curtis Hoyle are the only other cast members officially returning from the show's first season.

New and old enemies come into his life and he is pressured to make the decision on whether or not to fully accept himself as the Punisher. After that, who knows what The Punisher's future with Netflix will be?

The Punisher is executive produced by Steve Lightfoot along with Marvel TV boss Jeph Loeb and Jim Chory.
