BMW 7 Series facelift spotted undisguised

The BMW 7-Series is about to receive a mid-cycle makeover (LCI in BMW speak). For instance, a previous series of spyshots, which were snapped when the Bimmer hit the Nurburgring, has allowed us to notice the more extrovert front bumper included in the M Sport Package.

BMW's facelifted 7 Series had earlier been spotted testing with camouflage on the nose and trunk.

The new electrified technology will also provide the 745e with a greater electric-only range.

While we got a good look at what the facelift 7 Series looks like from the front, we have yet to see what it looks like from the back. Even the rear of the vehicle will feature many refreshed elements.

The X7, a rival to the Range Rover that launched late a year ago, will rub shoulders with the 7 Series at the top of BMW's range.

The updated luxury saloon's new nostrils are accompanied by sharper exterior styling that includes slimmer headlights and tail-lights. A few updates to the interior are also expected. Specifications of the petrol and the diesel trims are also under a wrap, but the present plug-in hybrid variant will make way for a new version that will be called '745e iPerformance'. However, as per reports, the 740e hybrid available in worldwide markets is expected to make way for a more powerful 745e. On the other hand, the new model will offer a higher power of at least 400 hp.

We expect to see the BMW 7-Series facelift officially unveiled over the next two months with a motor show debut possible for the Geneva Motor Show 2019. Its India launch, however, won't happen before mid-2020.
