Ubisoft teases post-apocalyptic Far Cry, seemingly set after Far Cry 5

This year, rumors suggest we may see the trailer for a new Avengers game, in addition to sneak peeks at a few other highly-anticipated titles.

Ubisoft has teased an impending Far Cry announcement for The Game Awards with a short video that hints at a post-apocalyptic theme. In order to hype this new FC game, the publisher has released a teaser trailer that you can find below.

I won't even embed the video until the end of the post-I will simply say that some sort of Far Cry news is coming during the big show tomorrow, and if you're interested, you should watch it. As you may remember, Far Cry 5 ended in Hope County essentially blowing out, so it looks like that could be continued.

It starts out on a shot of a barn, which somewhat resembles the rural American setting of this year's Far Cry 5.

Plus, it's not hard to imagine an ending to Far Cry 5 where the Elder's Gate cult get their hands on a nuclear bomb, and do the unthinkable.

Alternatively, Ubisoft could be treating it as a separate spin-off, similar to Far Cry Primal, and the similarities to Far Cry 5 are just being played up by the teaser.

It definitely looks to be an interesting twist on the series, and we are looking forward to finding out more tomorrow night.
