The Cut apologizes for article calling Priyanka Chopra a ‘scam artist’

"Upon further editorial review, we found this story did not meet our standards", the editorial note now reads. "These kind of random things can't disturb it", she said.

New York Magazine's The Cut is in hot water this morning for publishing an article questioning the legitimacy of newlyweds Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra's relationship.

The power couple got married in two ceremonies- Hindu and Christian.

Priyanka's brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Joe Jonas and Game of Thrones star, Sophie Turner condemned the article. They also hosted a reception in Delhi recently and are expected to host a reception in Mumbai soon.

Taking to Twitter, Joe wrote: "This is disgusting". On the other hand For the Indian wedding, PeeCee put on a blood red lehenga and choli and his love interest Nick chose a beige colored Sherwani.

"Last night, the Cut published a post about Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra's relationship that shouldn't have gone up".

A lot of people are lashing out against the website for publishing such sexist and racist article and not able to face the heat from all corners, the website has now deleted the article and apologised for the insensitivity. We've received dozens of messages from readers expressing their anger. The article then later took down and the editor apologized for it. "We definitely want kids, and when the time is right, it will happen".

"The whole piece missed the mark".
