Galaxy S10 will reportedly have the smartphone design we’ve always wanted

Samsung is expected to follow the same launch timeline it does every year which means that the Galaxy Note 10 should arrive in some time in August 2019.

During its Samsung Developers Conference, the company unveiled its experimental notch designs - Infinity-U, Infinity-V, and Infinity-O. Also, it's entirely possible that with such a new display design and finally a replacement for the notoriously popular notch, Samsung might kick-start a new trend for smartphone designs. The patent was filed with WIPO (World Intellectual Property Office).

With that being said, we are now sure of one thing, although Samsung might have brought little progressive updates on to its Samsung Galaxy S9, the next flagship phone by Samsung is probably going to be a big step up concerning design and display. Models A and B are the only two designs that feature a lock-screen rendered in color. For the latter, we're getting one of our first looks at the Galaxy S10's final design thanks to newly discovered patent filing images.

Rumours reveal several designs that showcase various types of display cutouts that make room to incorporate a selfie camera on the front face while retaining a truly edge-to-edge display with minimal or zero bezels.

These new patent images have been spotted courtesy of the Dutch site LetsGoDigital, which gives us a full-fledged illustration of how the Infinity-O display might look like. Another image in the patent shows a range of display designs that Samsung is likely considering, with the only major differences being how rounded the corners are, the cut-out appearing in either the top-left or top-right, and rounded edges on the sides or top and bottom.

The past few years have seen Samsung debut its new Galaxy phones alongside the annual Mobile World Congress event held in Barcelona.
