We Can't Stop Looking at the Royal Family's Brand-New Portrait

This brand-new photo is making us consider marrying into the royal family. For the big day, Prince Charles will attend a tea party championing 70 inspirational people who also turned 70 this year.

The prince's Clarence House office released two family portraits to mark the birthday. Kate finished the look with her copper-highlighted locks in soft waves and her usual taupe smokey eye and rosy cheeks.

"It was particularly special to capture such an informal and relaxed family portrait over a fun afternoon in the gardens of Clarence House", Getty photographer Chris Jackson said of the shots.

Since this photo was taken in September, Meghan would have been pregnant, though she and Harry likely hadn't shared their exciting news yet with the family.

Charles clearly loves his grandchildren and these pics prove it.

The Prince himself, dapper in black tie with the Duchess of Cornwall on his arm, was surrounded by friends, family and European royalty, in a private celebration at the end of several weeks of very public birthday activities.

"He will get down on his knees and crawl about with them for hours, you know making amusing noises and laughing and my grandchildren adore him, absolutely adore him", she said.

That was made abundantly clear by his firstborn son, with Prince William telling United Kingdom magazine Country Life about his dad's extreme affection for the furry-tailed rodents. "He's reached his seventieth year, it's a flawless time to consolidate a little bit because as most families would do, you are anxious about having them around and making sure their health's OK, and he's the fittest man I know but equally I want him to be fit until he's 95". And I have to say, Louis is the spitting image of his mum.

The photos showed Prince Charles with his first-born grandson, Prince George, on his knee.

Prince Charles kisses the hand of Britain's Queen Elizabeth II on stage after the Jubilee concert at Buckingham Palace in London, on June 4, 2012. The kids will likely have wished Grandpa Wales a "happy birthday" earlier in the day and hopefully enjoyed some cake with him.
