Sunday, Nov. 11 is Veterans Day, and many restaurants are offering deals and discounts to those who have served our country as well as active military.

Thank you for your service. To receive the free meal, guests must either show their military ID or be in uniform.

Veteran's Day is a chance for the nation to show its appreciation to those who have defended its liberties.

Free meals for veterans of any branch of the USA armed forces on Monday from 11 a.m.to 2 a.m.

Starbucks: Free tall hot coffee for veterans, active duty military and military spouses.

Veterans can get a free Express auto wash Sunday from 8 a.m.to 7 p.m.at Wetzone vehicle Wash.

Here are eight restaurants that are dishing out free meals to America's heroes on Veterans Day.

Free haircut - Current and former military members can get a free haircut on November 11 or a coupon for a free haircut at any Great Clips locations.

Cracker Barrel - Active and former military can get a free coffee or slice of double chocolate fudge Coca-Cola Cake on November 11.

City Barbeque will commemorate Veterans Day by treating veterans and troops to a meal.

The Mexican chain will offer a free "create-your-own" combo meal to veterans, choosing any two items off of the combo menu, including tacos, empanadas, and enchiladas, on November 11.

BJ's Restaurant Brewhouse: All current and former military can enjoy a free entree up to $12.95 and a free Dr. Pepper beverage on November 11.

Sports Clips: Free haircuts for veterans at participating locations.

From 5 a.m. until noon on Monday, veterans and active duty military can build their own grand slam meal for free.

On the Border: Free create-your-own combo for veterans and active-duty military.

Note: The new Krispy Kreme location in Riverdale, 4212 S. Riverdale Rd., will be hosting a donation day to honor North Ogden Mayor Brent Taylor, a major in the National Guard who was killed in Afghanistan last Saturday.

White Castle:Free combo meal on Sunday and Monday. This deal applies to all Tucanos locations. The deal is available all day.

All veterans - including active, retired or former US military - can choose one of six entrees, including a Classic Cheeseburger, Bubba's Bacon Burger, Buffalo Chicken Sandwich, Grilled Chicken Salad, Chicken Tender Salad or 12-inch pepperoni pizza plus a choice of any Coca-Cola product, sweet tea/ice tea or coffee during lunch.
