The Ball family has been in the headlines on a consistent basis over the past year, and now we've got blockbuster news for the OH state high school basketball world. He shared that to play in global competition has been a great experience. "I can't wait to play with my peers". He described that the prominent basketball player has looked to really focus on his game, along with his education, and of course, eventually graduate. "It's more so of a feeling-out process to make sure it was the right fit all the way around, make sure we can help him, make sure we can provide him what he needs socially. It's all the components that Spire provides".

"In my opinion, LaMelo Ball can be the No. 1 pick in a year or two going to the Cleveland Cavaliers", Jermaine Jackson tells TMZ Sports.

LaMelo Ball, brother of Lonzo Ball #2 of the Los Angeles Lakers, walks off the court after shooting baskets as part of a promotion during a timeout of a 2017 Summer League game between the Lakers and the Los Angeles Clippers at the Thomas & Mack Center on July 7, 2017 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

While things can and nearly certainly will change between now and the 2020 NBA Draft, Ball's draft stock took a hit when he left Chino Hills High School to play in Lithuania and then the JBA. After this, they returned to the United States this past summer and joined the Junior Basketball Association.

LaVar Ball announced on Twitter Tuesday afternoon that LaMelo, now a senior, will play for Spire Prep Academy in Geneva, Ohio.

"Spire Institue features 7'7" Robert Bobroczky, Rocket Watts and Isaiah Jackson.

"He's a scorer, he's a player, he's a facilitator", Brantley said. I have watched games and seen him rebound.
