Arsene Wenger 'to replace Gennaro Gattuso as AC Milan manager'

Arsene Wenger is reportedly set to be appointed as AC Milan manager, his first role since departing Arsenal at the end of last season.

Arsene Wenger has categorically denied that he is in talks to take up a managerial position with Serie A giants AC Milan, labelling such a notion as "fake news".

Thus suggesting that Solari is set to be named the club's next permanent manager in compliance with Spanish FA regulations, with time running out to seal the deal.

Wenger will also have additional responsibilities in the inner workings of the club, alongside sporting director Leonardo.

However, the former Arsenal boss has insisted such claims are ill-informed. "It's wrong", Wenger said on BEIN Sports.

Wenger stepped down from his head coach role at Arsenal in the summer, ending a 22-year reign at the Emirates.

" If I signed somewhere I would tell you but that is wrong news".

"I cannot master the rumours, I can only master what I do in my life". I don't want to lie and that's why I can't give you any information.

"But at the moment I can not tell you [about my future] because I don't know".

The 69-year-old has been linked with multiple prestigious clubs in both a coaching and directing capacity, including Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain.
