Why Keira Knightley Won't Let Her Daughter Watch These Disney Movies

While appearing on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Knightley listed the Disney movies banned in her household.

The Anna Karenina star revealed to Ellen DeGeneres that she won't let her 3-year-old daughter, Edie, watch some of the studio's most iconic films because she doesn't like the way women are portrayed.

Keira Knightley readily admits that people often confuse her with other actresses. "And this is the one that I'm quite annoyed about because I really like the film".

Not all Disney movies are off-limits. "Hello?" she continued. "But I love'The Little Mermaid'so that one's a little tricky one, but no, I'm keeping to it".

"'Dory' is a big favorite in our house", she admitted, apparently referencing the "Finding Nemo" sequel, "Finding Dory".

She also revealed that she has forbidden her three-year-old daughter, Edie Knightley Righton, from watching these movies.

"'Frozen" is huge and "Moana' is totally fine". The actress also revealed that little Edie has already decided on a few careers that interest her.

Ellen, who provided the voice for Dory, chimed in, "There's some good ones, but mainly Dory".

It makes sense for Knightley to want her daughter to not have such influences at such a young age. Hello! But the problem with The Little Mermaid is - I love The Little Mermaid!

But a person in a store once asked her to pose for a photograph ― believing she was pop star Britney Spears, Knightley told host James Corden.
