Bake Off viewers brand show a 'fix' after Manon is kicked off

There was fury among Great British Bake Off fans on Tuesday night, when fan favourite Manon was sent home despite Rahul baking three bad bakes, one of which was branded "inedible" by the judges.

Manon failed to impress judges during the showstopper challenge, but Rahul came last in all of the technical challenges. How did he stay over Manon?

"Manon was just worse in the last challenge, but it was close, Rahul's bread was burnt".

Some of them even went so far as to suggest that the show was a "fix" (!), orchestrated in such a way to ensure that Rahul made it to the final.

Some viewers of the Great British Bake Off were left feeling less than satisfied after this week's programme - as many think the "wrong baker" left the show.

Through the rest of the episode, however, Manon faired well enough, completing both a signature and a technical challenge that weren't awesome but weren't exactly bad either.

Prue Leith added: "Manon spent too much time making attractive candies and not enough time filling her pastry".

Manon's rye bread turned into more of a French loaf, and her showstopper was more pain au chocolat than Danish pastry.
