Samsung launches triple camera Galaxy A7 smartphone

The Galaxy A7 (2018) accommodates a 6-inch Super AMOLED display with 1080 x 2220 pixel resolution and no notch. Samsung is planning a counterattack with the launch of the Galaxy S10 that is rumored to integrate triple-cam setup, but, according to the latest leaks, that will not be the first Samsung model with three rear cameras. The primary 24MP sensor is joined by an 8MP 120-degree wide-angle lens, and a 5MP module for adjusting the depth of field. It consists of a 24-megapixel lens with an LED flash, capable of taking bokeh-effect photos and creating AR Emojis. Under the hood, the device is powered by an unspecified octa-core processor clocked at 2.2GHz.

Keeping up with the trends, the Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018) offers slightly curved front and glass back while the side frame isn't specified, but seeing that it has no antenna lines it's likely made of plastic. The camera comes with Samsung's intelligent Scene Optimizer that categorizes the subject and adjusts the color, contrast, and brightness to optimize image quality. The phone packs a 3,300mAh battery. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, NFC and a USB Type-C port. It supports sensors like accelerometer, fingerprint sensor, gyro sensor, geomagnetic sensor, hall sensor, proximity sensor, and RGB light sensor.

"Samsung is committed to delivering meaningful innovation to all consumers across the Galaxy family, no matter who they are or where they are in the worl".

The Samsung Galaxy A7 is the company's first phone to get a triple camera setup.

The handset will initially launch in select European and Asian markets and will gradually expand this Fall.

Samsung Galaxy A7 will be available in four colour options - blue, black, gold and pink. Samsung is gearing up to host its A Galaxy Event on October 11.
