Brad Pitt fires back at 'calculated' ex Angelina Jolie over child support

BRAD Pitt has fought back in a U.S. court against Angelina Jolie's claim that he has not paid adequate child support for the couple's six children.

Following Tuesday's filing, a spokesperson for Jolie told People the actress' latest court filing asking for Pitt to pay more child support "is to provide closure to the marriage in a way that clears a path toward the next stage of their lives and allows her and Brad to recommit as devoted co-parents to their children".

The filing calls it an attempt to make it look like Angelina wanted out as soon as possible, branding it a "a thinly-veiled effort to manipulate media coverage".

In a statement to UsWeekly, Samantha Bley DeJean of the Law Offices of Bley and Bley said that when Jolie left Pitt taking their children with her following an incident on a place in September 2016, the World War Z opted to keep the family home in Los Angeles, that he had kept following his divorce from first wife Jennifer Aniston, including the contents.

However, the allegations have infuriated Pitt, and his attorney, Lance Spiegel, has now fired back at Jolie, suggesting she lied about the lack of child support funds.

"Given that the informal arrangements around the payment of the children's expenses have not been regularly sustained. for over a year and a half, [Jolie] intends to file. for the establishment of a retroactive child support order", the documents stated.

The couple share adopted sons Maddox and Pax, adopted daughter Zahara and three biological children, Shiloh Nouvel and twins Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline, aged between eight and 15. Neither side specified what those issues were.

The insider also claimed that Jolie never requested child support from her ex until the recent court filing.

A bitter custody battle between Jolie, 43, and Pitt, 54, has played out publicly in the time since their announced separation.
