Smash Ultimate Gets New Modes "Squad Strike" and "Smashdown"

Ultimate Nintendo Direct presentation with the reveal of a brand new character, Castlevania's Simon Belmont. Ultimate title, confirming today's accidental leak. Both characters will be available as part of the game's burgeoning roster, and playable alongside previously-announced Echo fighter Richter Belmont.

The Limited Edition of the game comes in a big, wide box adorned with an image of dozens of fighters from the Smash Ultimate roster. It boasts a number of Gothic enemies to battle, including Dracula himself every "blue moon", as well as Alucard as an assist trophy. After picking up to 32 participants (and how many of those will be CPUs) players are given bracket options that can include standard 1-on-1 battles or 4-on-4 madness with a shorter bracket. Chrom will be the Echo Fighter for Roy, Dark Samus will be modeled after Samus, and Richter Belmont will take after Simon.

Training: The improved Training mode in Super Smash Bros. The news comes after the company posted an unlisted video to its Smash Bros Ultimate YouTube channel, which was initially titled "Galaga Medley" before being renamed to 'Bloody Tears/Monster Dance'.

Simon, who has starred in Castlevania games ranging all the way back to the 1986 original on NES, will wield his famous whip in the new game.

Among the new stages shown off was New Donk City Hall from Super Mario Odyssey.

Konami stars have appeared as playable character in the cross-over fighting series before, most notably Snake from the Metal Gear Solid franchise, and Mr Belmont will be welcome with open arms.

What do you think? You'll need to become competitive with multiple characters if you want to come out on top. Or are there others you wish would be introduced? If you're a video game music lover like me, that's awesome news, but it's even better when you learn that Smash Ultimate will include over 800 music tracks. He continues to work in sport but loves talking all things Xbox, PS4, and PC just as much.
