Posting the vision to his Twitter and Instagram accounts, Broad, who'd reacted in shock to the crack of ball on Anderson's head, clarified his fast-bowling partner in crime was "perfectly fine".

England global cricketer James Anderson had a solid outing against India at Edgbaston during the first Test, taking four wickets over two innings and helping the team register a 31-run victory on Saturday. Surely Golf is a sport James would stay away from, henceforth.

Anderson, who plays golf right-handed despite batting left-handed, admitted he'd had to check he wouldn't need to check in with a dentist.

Firstly, questions have to be asked about Anderson's initial tee shot as the 36-year-old is seen in a wooded area and standing over the ball, contemplating how he is going to get out of the trees.

Anderson and Broad were enjoying a day off after their victory in the first Test against India, but there was a scary moment when Anderson was taking a shot from the woods. The incident occurred, when the England pacer was having a game of Golf on Sunday along with teammate Stuart Broad. Anderson's duel with Indian skipper Virat Kohli was also on display during the ongoing Test series between India and England.

Both teams are expected to get back to training ahead of the next fixture, scheduled to be held at the Lord's from August 9.
