Then the new supporting players started to arrive, and things got even more exciting. He also included Jake Gyllenhaal as a hashtag as well, seemingly confirming his reported role as the villain Mysterio, but that's something that has yet to be officially announced.

Fury and Hill's presumed resurrection is less surprising than the news that they'll be joining a Spider-Man film, and it gives us some very interesting hints as to what's to come for Peter Parker when he returns from the dust.

According to Vulture, Samuel L Jackson and Cobie Smulders are all set to reprise their Marvel Cinematic Universe's characters in Spider-Man: Far From Home. Sony had no comment. The two were previously seen in this year's groundbreaking Avengers: Infinity War, in which (spoiler alert) they were snapped out of existence by Thanos along with many other members of the Avengers, including Peter Parker/Spider-Man (Tom Holland, The Lost City of Z) himself.

Before he puts on the suit again to begin filming the sequel, Tom Holland can now be seen as Spider-Man in Avengers: Infinity War, which is still playing in theaters. Get ready for SpiderMan to meet Nick Fury and Maria Hill.

We already know that the movie will see Peter Parker (also back from the dead) dealing with the aftermath of Infinity War, but we don't know anything about the time frame in play yet. Well, guess everyone's getting out of that one unscathed.
