‘Mighty Ducks’ star arrested for public intoxication

Shaun Weiss, who played Goldberg in "The Mighty Ducks" was arrested in Northern California for public intoxication, TMZ is reporting.

"He was transported and booked into the Butte County Jail", the statement continued. Police "cut him a break" and released him after a few hours in custody.

This is not the first arrest for Weiss.

OPD shared Weiss' mugshot in a Facebook post confirming the arrest, and it is shocking. Weiss was sentenced to 150 days after allegedly stealing $150 worth of merchandise from Fry's Electronics, but ultimately served 12 due to overcrowding. At the time, his manager, Don Gibble, told TMZ he had hoped jail would help Weiss get himself on a more productive path. Back in 2017, he was arrested in California and charged with misdemeanor meth possession which led him to spending 90 days in jail, according to E! Authorities determined that Weiss, 38, was high on drugs when they found him outside a closed business complex, although they didn't know which specific substance he was on.

His rep did not immediately return a request for comment on Monday.

In addition to the "Mighty Ducks" franchise, which lasted three movies, Weiss previously was featured in "Heavyweights", "Freaks and Geeks", "The King of Queens" and "The Tony Danza Show".

In January, The Hollywood Reporter reported Disney's ABC Signature Studios was in the early stages of a TV reboot.
