During the chase, police say the suspects shot at officers several times.

Meanwhile, the cop who managed to keep his cool in this tense and risky situation, and still bring the suspects' vehicle to a halt is being praised online as the hero every police department needs.

"You are about to see some video that will show the incident and will paint the picture of the dangers that the officers dealt with that day".

Prior to spraying bullets through the car's front window an officer is heard yelling "shots fired" into his radio.

As the suspects' vehicle was attempting to flee from authorities, the men inside the vehicle fired 34 shots at officers, striking multiple vehicles, police said.

The auto eventually stopped after it crashed into a nearby school before the officers used "deadly force" to stop one of the suspects getting away.

When the suspect vehicle stops, the officer is momentarily left with an empty weapon before changing magazines to confront the shooters. The officer only stopped to reload his gun. Nunez, a felon with robbery and host of other convictions, was taken into custody.

The suspects were later identified as Fidel Miranda, 23, and Rene Nunez, 30. He was caught and booked into the Clark County Detention Center. According to police reports, Nunez was wanted for suspicion of murder in connection to the July 11 shooting death of 25-year-old Thomas Romero.

Las Vegas police released the video on Facebook Monday of the officer-involved shooting last Wednesday.

Assistant Sheriff Kelly praised the officers for their "bravery, professionalism, heroics".

Officers began to pursue the vehicle, Kelly said.
