Twitter user ‘Alison Becker’ fools Liverpool fans with tweet after Alisson bid

The future of Alisson could be in Liverpool.

It's been known for months that Liverpool's top target is Roma 'keeper Alisson Becker but it had been suggested that the asking price for the Brazil worldwide would make a deal unlikely.

Roma goalkeeper Alisson has picked Liverpool as his preferred destination ahead of Chelsea, according to reports.

The Italian side have not accepted any bid for their goalkeeper at this time, but there seems to be an acceptance that they will allow him to leave and Liverpool are now the front runners in the race to sign him.

Real Madrid have been linked with a move for Alisson but it looks more likely that the La Liga giants will instead focus on Thibaut Courtois, with Chelsea then potentially providing Liverpool with the toughest competition for Alisson.

While Roma's style of play ensures Alisson is called into action more readily than Karius or Mignolet would for Liverpool, the 25-year-old conceded just 28 league goals last season, with only Juventus conceding less.

Alisson has recently returned from the World Cup in Russian Federation where he appeared for Brazil.

However, Liverpool are now in pole position and the Express are citing a report from Gianluca Di Marzio that claims Alisson has already held talks with Klopp about a move to Anfield this summer.

But the 25-year-old showed more signs of being error-prone during the warm-up to a pre-season friendly against Chester earlier this month when he let a soft strike through his hands.

The goalkeeping curse of Loris Karius extended into the World Cup, with howlers from both David de Gea in the group stages and Hugo Lloris in the World Cup final also coming under the spotlight.
