Donald Trump Acknowledges Russian Meddling in 2016 Election

FLOTUS Melania Trump has gone viral after a clip emerged which appears to show her face falling after being introduced to Vladimir Trump.

Trump failed to raise the issue with Putin in his private meeting and subsequent press conference in Helsinki on Monday, and he appeared to side with Putin over the United States intelligence agencies on the subject of Russian meddling in the USA election - before saying he "misspoke" a day later.

Mr Trump said he was not convinced it was Moscow.

The optics going into the summit were already awful.

Coats is Trump's most senior Cabinet-level intelligence authority and oversees US intelligence operations.

Trumps meeting with Putin in Helsinki was his first time sharing the worldwide stage with a man he has described as an important US competitor — but whom he has also praised a strong, effective leader.

That's no doubt partly why Trump agreed to the meeting.

Noah played various news segments criticizing Trump's performance overseas, ending on one that called the press conference the "single most embarrassing performance by a US president on the world stage".

"The disagreements between our two countries are well-known and President Putin and I discussed them at length today", Trump said.

The US and Russian Federation are facing new challenges nowadays, differing drastically from the ones of the Cold War era, Putin said, naming regional conflicts, spread of terrorism, organised crime, ecology and economy risks.

This evening he said that what he meant to say was he didn't see any reason why Russian wouldn't be responsible for meddling in the 2016 vote. Both condemned President Trump and endorsed the findings of the intelligence community.

The Perth father of three children killed when MH17 was shot down has delivered a blistering attack on US President Donald Trump following his much criticised summit and press conference alongside Russian President Vladimir Putin. The ensuing chaos is music to his ears.

"I think there is blame on both sides".

In France, Le Monde topped its front page with: "Donald Trump, best of allies with Vladimir Putin". Removing a president from office requires bipartisan buy-in, prompts months-long political and legal trauma, and is far more hard than the political assassination of an Australian prime minister. He's trolling the Left in America - but he's recklessly doing it on the global stage.

Trump might be a pawn of Putin, but not in the way the media like to portray it. He's a pawn because Putin has a good read on Trump and the domestic climate in America. He knows just which buttons to press, and how to play on Trump's weaknesses.

In his latest Closer Look segment (embedded above), Late Night host Meyers first focused on some other "disastrous" moments from Trump's trip overseas, including his decision to walk in front of Queen Elizabeth II (a royal faux pas) at an event in the United Kingdom, and his incoherent answers to journalists' questions about Brexit.

"We don't want to do a "ready, fire, aim" thing".

Consider what has actually happened since Trump took office.

"There is no question that Russian Federation interfered in our election and continues attempts to undermine democracy", Ryan said in a statement.

Trump and Putin had held lengthy talks before - on the sidelines of world leader meetings in Germany and Vietnam a year ago - but this was their first official summit and was being watched closely, especially following the announcement Friday of new indictments against 12 Russian intelligence officers accused of hacking Democratic emails to help Trump's campaign. Not only were Trump's comments imbecilic, he is wholly in the pocket of Putin. Second, U.S. Marines were training with their Ukrainian counterparts in military drills clearly aimed at preparing Ukraine for further conflict with Russian Federation. Republicans strongly support President Trump's more orthodox actions, such as his nomination of Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court and last year's tax bill. A wary and robust stance toward Russian Federation has been a bedrock of his partys world view.
