Meghan Markle is faking her smile, says her father

The new royal wore the tailored garment while attending the official opening of the Nelson Mandela Centenary Exhibition in London alongside her husband, Duke of Sussex, Prince Harry. The duchess' dad, Thomas Markle, granted The Sun an interview about his daughter that was published Sunday. "And I want to be her [future] child's grandfather and I want to be near them".

He continued: 'I've seen her smile for years. "They don't know how to get in touch with Meghan and she's not getting in touch with them". I don't like the one I'm seeing now. According to him, it's a "pained smile".

Thomas Markle said he wants to fly to London to talk to Meghan almost two months after her wedding.

Among Markle's gripes are what he describes as the outdated royal "dress code", telling the newspaper, "Meghan seems like something out of an old movie". "Why in 2018 are we dressing like the 1930s?" he said. "Why do they have to cover their knees?" he said. "There's a high price to pay to be married to that family". He was reportedly paid about $130,000 for appearing in the photos.

Markle is planning to become involved in charity work as well as part of her royal duties. In his newest interview, Thomas confirmed the staged photos ruffled a few feathers at Kensington Palace.

"I'm not going to wave flags and make a fool of myself. I have already apologized to the Royal Family", Thomas revealed. "She is trying so hard to fit in and adapt to this very new way of life and she was once again blindsided by a father who supposedly cares about her and doesn't want to embarrass her".

Meghan Markle's father Thomas Markle has caused drama surrounding his daughter in the past.

Later in the interview, Thomas also claimed he has been unable to reach Meghan by phone.

"If she'll meet Donald Trump, why not me?" he questioned. "Everyone was saying I was too terrified to walk her down the aisle, but I was ready to do it", Thomas said. "If I had one message for her it would be that I'm sorry for anything that went wrong".
