Motorola launches Moto E5 Play Android Go Edition

The company has now announced a new addition to its e-series handsets with the moto e5 play Android Go edition.

Interestingly, there are some differences between the regular E5 Play and the Android Go version.

The Moto E5 Play (Android Go edition) packs a 5.3-inch Max Vision display, which is said to feature a tall aspect ratio of 18:9. The listed of newly launched devices also include the Moto E5 Play. While major developers have already launched Go apps for running on Android Go smartphones, they lack many features present on their repsective full-fledged apps.

Software is not the only thing that is different about the new E5 Play. That compares to the regular E5 Play, which sports a 5.2-inch display with a traditional 16:9 aspect ratio and 720p resolution.

Experts are saying that the Go version is likely to feature 1 GB RAM, as this is the most supported by Android Go smartphones. It's comprised of three optimized areas - the operating system, Google Play Store, and Google apps - ...

The Go version of the E5 play is expected to retail for roughly $128 and will go on sale from end-July in European and Latin American markets.

It is also noteworthy that the original Moto E5 Play had debuted with 2GB of RAM, however, since the new model of the phone is going to run Android Go, it's expected that the phone will run on 1GB of RAM, given the limit for Android Go handsets.

Even storage might differ. You can get most apps you have on regular phones on Go smartphones with minor downgrades such as lower-quality graphics.

Everything else, including the design, seemingly remains the same.

In terms of imaging, the G5 Play features an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with an LED flash. The E5 Play and E5 Plus launched a few months back and now the E5 range has been further expanded with the Go version.
