Hulk Hogan officially reinstated into WWE Hall of Fame

WWE has confirmed Hulk Hogan has been reinstated into the company's Hall of Fame after a three-year "suspension".

According to PWInsider.com, Hogan spent a long time apologizing for his comments and for embarassing WWE for the incident.

The World Wresting Entertainment Hall of Fame announced the reinstatement of Hulk Hogan Sunday as rumors swirled of Hogan's return to the sport.

Hogan was released from his Legends contract on July 24, 2015, when a controversial sex tape surfaced that included him making anti-black rants when discussing his daughter being romantically involved with a black man and using a racial slur on multiple occasions.

His cohort, Triple H, said to Us Weekly earlier that Hulk Hogan was a formidable part of WWE history, and it was a shame to see him go, but after he paid his dues, they would welcome him back.

His photo and biography were back on the Hall of Fame page on Sunday. After his suspension was lifted, Hogan tweeted that he had interacted with WWE talent, giving the indication he is at or near the PPG Paints Arena, where the show is being held. Take this as pure speculation for now as it would be odd for Hogan to make his big WWE return at Extreme Rules rather than an episode of Raw or even at SummerSlam next month but crazier things have happened in pro wrestling. I can not confirm whether he will make an appearance in some form at Extreme Rules.

All we can do now is wait. Hulk was being reinstated in their HOF.

Eric Bischoff, Hogan's close friend and former boss in WCW, told The Post in June he was hopeful WWE and the Hulkster could work something out and felt the WWE Universe would welcome the former champion back. Please feel free to join in the conversation in the comments section below.
