Mom arrested on suspicion of selling her 7-year-old son

Texas Department of Public Safety special agents reportedly took the mother into custody while serving a search warrant at a Corpus Christi home last week.

KRIS reported that 29-year-old Esmeralda Garza was jailed under a $100,000 bond in Nueces County on a charge of sale or purchase of a child.

During the raid, agents found three children, ages 7,3 and 2, that were in the process of being sold. Jail records did not list an attorney for her.

In a new statement, DPS says they have located the 7-year-old boy that was allegedly sold by his mom.

The DPS investigation revealed that Garza was also attempting to sell two little girls.

A Texas mother is arrested for allegedly selling her kids. All three individuals were booked into the Nueces County Jail. They are extremely distraught about this incident, especially the boy's father.

Another man and woman were arrested as part of the drugs bust, and are expected to be charged with separate offenses.

Authorities are continuing to investigate, and additional charges could be forthcoming.
