Georgia's Jake Fromm sustains broken hand in boating incident

He helped lead the Bulldogs to the College Football Playoff championship game, where they lost to Alabama.

Georgia quarterback Jake Fromm broke a small bone in his hand, but it does not appear to be something Bulldogs fans should be too anxious about at this point. Now, the odds are that Fromm will hold on to the starting job, and this injury will be a bump in the road.

The injury? A broken bone... in his non-throwing hand - that would be his left hand.

News broke on Wednesday that incumbent starter Jake Fromm broke his non-throwing hand in what's being described as a "freak" accident on a boat.

It might be time for Fromm to cool it on the lake activities, at least while he's playing football.

It's not the first time Fromm has made headlines this summer.

For the third consecutive year, Georgia head coach Kirby Smart will face questions about the quarterback position.

It's good that it's just a minor injury.

Georgia's quarterback battle might have gotten a bit more interesting.

The Bulldogs open their 2018 season at home against Austin Peay, September 1st.
