Jada Pinkett Smith Opens Up About Suicidal Thoughts

Talking to her mother and grandmother Adrienne Banfield Norris on Red Table Talk, Willow, 17, said: "My introduction to sex was obviously walking in on you and daddy".

Jada Pinkett Smith was taught to masturbate by her grandmother at the age of nine. And she taught me at nine!' The "Girls Trip" star said she'd "basically tell myself that it's OK".

"One thing I've learned in my life over the years is that mental health is something we should practice daily, not just when issues arise", she captioned a black and white set of photos featuring the two late celebrities.

"We, as women, have been trained that women aren't supposed to enjoy sex, sex is not for women, sex is for men, pleasure is for men", Jada said before explaining that once in the past, after an experiment with abstaining from men, she went through an addiction to sex toys. And then one day, I was like, "Enough".

Pinkett Smith added in her post that her battle with mental illness hasn't been easy, though she's grateful she "pulled through".

By now, we all know that mental illness and depression is not as far-fetched as it once seemed, and fame and money do not shield you from it either. Jada, genuinely shocked to discover that this was her daughter's introduction to sex, asked Willow to clarify.

Jada's first sexual experience, which she describes as "amazing", might've been just that because she had early experiences with masturbation, and knew what she liked and what to expect.

Willow once walked in on her parents having sex. He was embarrassed. I was like, 'You don't have to be embarrassed.' It was like their innocence was gone. "I was like, 'Oh my god, this is so insane, what did I just see?'"

As for Jada, she says she has an intuition when it comes to her children, and says she knew both times when her 25-year-old stepson, Trey, and her 19-year-old son, Jaden, lost their virginity. 'Your kids aren't always going to date people that you love, but I've learned that you really have to just be there and support because that can create a conflict that you can't get around'. "You just constantly want it".
