Tales of Vesperia Definitive Edition announced

Today Xbox is hosting its E3 2018 press briefing from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, and we got the announcement of Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition.

Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition is launching sometime in winter 2018 with no exact date announced yet. However, we haven't heard of any extra content other than what was exclusive to the Japanese PS3 version of the game.

But now that's a thing of the past, with the Tales of Vesperia remaster coming to Xbox One, PS4, PC and the Nintendo Switch.

This remaster gives a facelift to the 2008 RPG a decade after its release. Tales of Vesperia is preceded in the series by Tales of Berseria, which launched on PlayStation 4 in January 2017. You take control of one character and tweak the AI of three others to fight enemies.

Typical to the Tales series, the later version of the game included a significantly larger amount of content, including two new playable characters and several new techniques for original characters. You can swap between the four characters at any time during battles to perform both physical and Mystic Artes attacks.

"TALES OF VESPERIA holds a special place in the hearts of many TALES OF fans around the world", said Abelina Villegas, Associate Brand Manager for BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment America Inc. - Dive into the Definitive version of this game with updated full HD graphics, brand-new music tracks, exciting mini-games, bosses, and a collection of unreleased costume DLC! The franchise has shipped over 16 million games.
