Indian PM Modi shares fitness video on social media

PM Modi nominated Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy and CWG gold medalist Manikar Batra for the #FitnessChallenge.

Virat Kohli invited Prime Minister Modi and his wife Anushka Sharma to join the fitness challenge.

In a separate message, he nominated Karnataka Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy, table tennis player and 2018 Commonwealth Games gold medallist Manika Batra and the "entire fraternity of fearless IPS officers, especially those above 40" for the #fitnesschallenge, which has become a talking point on Twitter. "The entire fraternity of courageous IPS officers, especially those above 40", he tweeted. He further said that he is more concerned about development of Karnataka. He thanked the Prime Minister for his invitation but said that he was more concerned about the "fitness" of his state. "I also practicebreathing exercises", he wrote.

"#HumFitTohIndiaFit Post pictures and videos of how you keep yourself fit and send a #FitnessChallenge to your friends on social media". This is extremely refreshing and rejuvenating.

Kohli then accepted Rathore's challenged and nominated Prime Minister Modi.

Following a fractured verdict in the Karnataka Assembly Elections, Kumaraswamy was sworn in as Chief Minister of Karnataka on May 23, after his JD (S) allying with the Congress.

PM Modi responded to Virat Kohli's challenge and tweeted using the hashtag #HumFitTohIndiaFit.

The fitness challenge began with Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore taking to his Twitter handle to urge Indian citizens towards adopting a fitter lifestyle.
