Few showers, storms possible Tuesday: Hot and humid rest of the week

It'll still be hot and temperatures above average but enjoy these next few days before the heat builds back in just in time for the weekend. Our drier air will remain place, reducing but not eliminating rain chances. In fact model differences bring low confidence on best timing for rain in an area. High temperatures will be in the lower to middle 90s. Winds N 5-10 miles per hour.

Pockets of heavy rain and some thunderstorms will be seen into the early afternoon hours primarily for communities along and south of I-96. With all this rain about, we'll be watching the larger rivers for flooding again. Then by Friday, another front gets close and will increase our rain chances for Friday and Saturday before pushing offshore for the weekend. Lows fall all the way into the lower 60s! Rounds of showers and storms keep pushing from west to east across our part of the world. Widespread severe storms are not expected, but some areas could see hail and strong winds this afternoon and evening.

Thursday: Partly sunny with a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Overnight, showers should dissipate with lows in the mid to upper 60's. Damaging winds and some hail is possible with those storms through late evening into the overnight.
