Claire Underwood in House of Cards' final season: See new photos

Annnd the photos came out just as the Tonys were airing on Sunday night - an awards show that Spacey hosted a year earlier, before his scandal.

And in the first images of the new season, Wright's Claire Underwood is making her mark on the presidency.

The sixth and final season of HOUSE OF CARDS will undergo a bit of a shakeup after the removal of Kevin Spacey, now with Robin Wright taking over the lead role.

The snaps, courtesy of Entertainment Weekly, further demonstrate that the much-loved Netflix drama will end its run with Claire in the Oval Office, a decision influenced by sexual harassment allegations lodged at Spacey, who led the series as the iron-fisted Frank for five seasons.

Frank, previously played by Kevin Spacey, was the scheming politician during the first five seasons, but was removed from the show late past year amid a number sexual harassment allegations.

Robin Wright works on the set of "House Of Cards". The series also brings back Michael Kelly, Jayne Atkinson, Academy Award nominee Patricia Clarkson, Emmy Award Nominee Constance Zimmer, Derek Cecil, Campbell Scott and Boris McGiver in the sixth and final season.

"We're just getting started", Claire tells the camera, as the teaser cuts to a title card reading, "Hail to the Chief".

House of Cards executive producers are Melissa James Gibson, Frank Pugliese, Robin Wright, David Fincher, Joshua Donen, Dana Brunetti, Eric Roth, Michael Dobbs and Andrew Davies. The series was created by Beau Willimon and is produced by Donen/Fincher/Roth, with MRC as the studio, for Netflix.
