Star Fox returns in Starlink, Ubisoft's toys-to-life space game

During the Ubisoft press conference today, a trailer for Starlink: Battle for Atlas was shown, which ended with Fox of Star Fox fame flying in as a guest character in the Nintendo Switch version of the game. Whether or not it can find success where other toys-to-life games have failed remains to be seen, but we're guessing spaceships and Star Fox will definitely give it a fighting chance. Last year, Ubisoft forged a strong relationship with Nintendo when it released Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle. The company confirmed that Starlink: Battle for Atlas will launch on October 16, 2018.

Starlink Battle for Atlas was officially announced during E3 2017. According to the video below, first you slot your Joy-Cons into a special mount, attach a pilot (each with their own unique abilities), plug in a ship of your choice on top then add all manner of extra weapons and gadgets.

So there's a little insight into Starlink: Battle for Atlus' toys-to-life setup? When you swap out a part or a pilot, this is displayed on the screen instantly.

Star Fox in Starlink! There's no word if this will be bundled with some copies of the game, or if it will be required to access the Star Fox content, but it sure was a pretty looking model. "We believe the Atlas open star system is a flawless playground for Fox to explore and hope players will too".
