E3 2018: New Kingdom Hearts III Trailer Features Pirates of the Caribbean

This was to be Square Enix's first exhibition at E3 in three years, so needless to say, as the gatekeepers to many much-beloved franchises, people were hype to see what it was going to offer.

Check out all of our coverage and the trailers from Square Enix's E3 2018 presentation below.

What do you make of this new trailer? We see Lara using the jungle and what she's gathered to stealthily dispatch of multiple hostile operatives. Grappling, wall-running, and full underwater swimming will also be included as well as the largest hub world. Until then, enjoy its reveal trailer!

Square Enix and Capcom, meanwhile, will have a Final Fantasy XIV - Monster Hunter World crossover event slated for Summer 2018. Likewise, another look at the twee and free The Awesome Adventures Of Captain Spirit from Dontnod added more intrigue to the Life Is Strange companion piece, but again: we already knew about these games.

Outside of that, there was a sneak peek at a new title called The Quiet Man, which at first glance seems to be a title devoted to a deaf man punching Hispanic dudes in alleys throughout NY. By obtaining the light you'll be able to seal away the darkness, face your fate. Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age will be coming on September 4th. This game is being developed for PS4 and Steam by Platinum games and will release in 2019. We also hope to hear more about Dragon Quest Builders 2, perhaps even a release date.

Octopath Traveler is still on track for a July 13 release on the Nintendo Switch.
