The pressure was certainly on Sony after it became increasingly apparent that most of the prior E3 conferences were, honestly, a bit on the soft side (if not flat-out disappointing).

During the 20 or so minutes I got to play Marvel's Spider-Man, I couldn't help but crack a big, dumb grin the entire time.

Ghost of Tsushima has been at the top of my list since it was announced in 2017.

The trailer showed off a demo from the ninth day of the Mongol Invasion of Japan, and kicked off with the protagonist Jin wandering the gorgeous Japanese countryside. Control will be coming sometime in 2019.

Among the new IP was the open-world samurai game Ghost of Tsushima, which looks both gorgeous and loads of fun.

After months of speculation, we now know what Death Stranding's gameplay actually looks like - though it's still left us with plenty of questions.

What did you think about the new trailer? Because of this, many of us can't wait for it to come out.

Most notable from the trailer was the breath-taking set pieces that framed the combat, with a staged, nail-biting battle underneath a shedding blossom tree drenched in a warm sunset light rounding off the trailer from Sony's conference.

Spidey gets the crap beaten out of him before the trailer teases the reveal of one more villain.

The sixth member could be anyone, but frequent Sinister Six members not featured in the trailer include Doctor Octopus, Kraven the Hunter, Mysterio and Norman Osborn, the Green Goblin. Those four join Mister Negative as five villains in our game cooperating with the mysterious sixth villain that Spider-Man sees just before the end of the gameplay video. The artful trailer showed off a boarding school setting, and the girl you're trying to make contact with as a time-manipulating spirit.
