Assassin's Creed Odyssey release date leaks ahead of reveal

Ubisoft has released the first gameplay trailer for its latest Assassin's Creed game, Assassin's Creed Odyssey. Do you think any games will be delayed?

Reports indicate Odyssey will have RPG mechanics that give players more control over their stories and journeys. Certain NPCs can also be romanced or befriended depending on what you say. Featuring some similar at-sea combat that Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed Black Flag included, the new game is a multiplayer experience that involves going after treasure and taking on other pirates on the open oceans. After Assassin's Creed regained some of its sheen with 2017's Origins, everyone is excited to see Odyssey in action, hopeful that Ubisoft learned the right lessons.

This latest trailer comes nearly exactly a year after the game was first announced by Ubisoft during last year's E3 presentation. There will be opportunities to tease out more information during conversations, but some decisions can impact how the game plays out.

Discovered on Reddit, the following screenshot appears to show Assassin's Creed Odyssey on the PlayStation Store. So what are we expecting?

It's not just about what you say to other characters either; side quests are where it gets interesting.

One of the big showstoppers though is that Assassin's Creed Odyssey will have dialogue options and able to choose what your character is saying.

Ubisoft acknowledged Odyssey's existence by dropping a brief teaser last month after details about AC: Odyssey were leaked.
