Amazon Prime rolls out new Whole Foods discount in North Carolina stores

The companies said Monday that Prime benefits will become available at the point of sale in Whole Foods stores in 10 more states starting June 13.

The Whole Foods' Prime discount program is now available in: Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Nevada, New Mexico, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Washington and in Kansas City, Missouri. Amazon Prime members also get free, same-day shipping on many goods (in select areas), on-demand Prime Video and Prime Music streaming, and free Kindle books.

With the expansion, Whole Foods stores in 23 states will have integrated Prime benefits at checkout.

Amazon Prime members in Arizona, Georgia, Hawaii, Oregon, North Carolina, Washington, Mississippi, Alabama, Arizona, and SC, as well as parts of Southern California, will be able to take advantage of steep discounts at Whole Foods, starting on June 13. The service began in February in Austin, Dallas, Cincinnati and Virginia Beach, Va. Amazon has owned Austin-based Whole Foods since August 2017.

Amazon has announced that discounts for Prime members at Whole Foods Market will roll out across ten more states on Wednesday. Now, Prime members can get discounts at about half of the Whole Foods Market locations across the U.S. They can also use their mobile phone number at checkout.

Amazon bought the upscale grocery chain for $13.7 billion a year ago.
