We'll have more on Halo Infinite as and when it emerges.

It was nice to see something new from the Halo franchise, as it is definitely Microsoft's top franchise. While the first game was a visual marvel on its own, Techland seems to be taking a totally new visual direction with Dying Light 2. The trailer ended with a note stating that the game will be running on a brand-new engine called the Slipspace.

Hellblade developer Ninja Theory has been acquired by Microsoft, along with four other game studios.

Although that trailer definitely didn't look like Battlefield 5 to begin with, this exclusive is another dodgy one as EA is absolutely releasing its major FPS on every platform possible. The goal of the entire 343 Industries team is to make a great Halo game for our fans that also invites new players into our franchise. Where can we take gaming next.

Adding further a Microsoft press release underlined that the addition of these creative teams "reinforces Microsoft's vision for gaming, which starts with a deep commitment to original content".

The Xbox One trails Sony's (SNE) PlayStation 4 in unit sales in the current generation of video game consoles, but Microsoft is undeterred.

Amid all of their game announcements, Microsoft let out some interesting tidbits about the future of Xbox during their E3 conference - and hinted at the possibility of multiple consoles being worked on.

"In Halo Infinite we will join Master Chief on his most epic journey to save humanity", said Xbox division head Phil Spencer. Spencer said Microsoft is building a "game streaming network to unlock console-quality gaming on any device".
