The 'B' in IHOB stands for ... wait for it ... BURGERS!

The worldwide House of Pancakes, commonly known as IHOP, has officially switched its name. Starting at $6.99, folks can get one of their new burgers with a drink and endless fries. Though the restaurant may be dropping the "P" from its name, it promised that the pancakes on its menu aren't going anywhere and reassured skeptical followers that the name change was legitimately happening.

It's worth noting that the company's website still lives at IHOP.com. By late last week, however, self-identified employees of the chain began revealing the burger-based news via online forums and social media platforms. It looks like there will seven different types of burger. Now let's see who guess right.

After a week of teasing fans on Twitter and spurring thousands and thousands of tweets guessing what the "b" could stand for, the restaurant chain made the big announcement Monday.

"I give it a year", said another.

IHOP was an acronym for International House of Pancakes.
